Kalemi at Future2Tech 2026

On September 24–25, we were at Future2Tech 2026 at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.

Kalemi joined this year as a Gold Partner, bringing Publer, Linkie, and Kibo with us.

We spend most of our time building behind screens, so events like this are a good excuse to get out of the office, meet people in person, and show what we’ve been working on.

What is Future2Tech?

‍

Future2Tech is an annual technology event in Tirana that brings together companies, startups, professionals, and people interested in technology and innovation.

The event takes place at the Palace of Congresses and includes exhibitors, speakers, panels, workshops, and plenty of opportunities to meet the people behind Albania's growing tech scene.

This year's edition took place on September 24–25, with Kalemi joining as a Gold Partner.

Publer, Linkie, and Kibo

‍

Most people probably know us through Publer, our social media management platform.

Publer has been around since 2012 and has grown quite a bit since then. Today, it’s used by businesses, creators, and agencies around the world to create, schedule, and manage their social media.

More recently, we started building Linkie, our take on the link-in-bio space. It gives you one place for everything you create, sell, and share online, without unnecessary branding or limitations.

And then there’s Kibo, the newest of the three. We’re building it to bring customer conversations into one inbox, whether they come from email, live chat, social media messages, comments, mentions, or reviews.

All three products were at Future2Tech, along with many of the people who work on them every day.

It was also a chance to meet some of the people who already use our products, hear what they like (and what they don't), and introduce what we're building to plenty of new faces.

15 years of building from Tirana

Future2Tech also came at a nice time for us.

This year also marks 15 years since Kalemi’s story began.

It began in 2011 with Facebook apps and freelance websites. Publer came a little later, followed many years later by Linkie and Kibo.

Today, we’re a team of 20 in Tirana, building products used by people and businesses around the world.

We’ve stayed bootstrapped throughout those 15 years. There have been good years, bad years, products that worked, products that didn’t, and more than a few occasions where we had to rethink what we were doing.

We’re still here. And still building.

So it felt good to bring all three products together at an event here in Tirana.

Two days at Future2Tech

We put quite a bit of thought into our presence at Future2Tech. We didn't want to build a booth where people would simply pick up a flyer and leave.

And thankfully, people stayed.

Over the two days, we met existing Publer customers, people who knew Publer but didn't know much about the company behind it, and many who were discovering Kalemi, Linkie, and Kibo for the first time.

We also had the opportunity to present all three products together. During our product demo, we walked through Publer, Linkie, and Kibo, showed what each of them does, and shared some of what we're working on next.

Kibo was particularly interesting to introduce. As the newest product in the Kalemi family, it's still taking shape, so being able to show it to people and hear their questions and feedback in person was especially useful.

Later in the day, our founder, Ervin Kalemi, joined a discussion about two different approaches to growing a startup: raising outside investment or staying bootstrapped. After 15 years of building Kalemi without outside investment, you can probably guess which side he represented.

There was plenty happening around the booth too. Visitors tried our products, spun the wheel, won prizes, took photos, and got access to the special offers we'd kept under wraps before the event.

But more than anything, Future2Tech gave us two days to talk to people face to face.

We build our products from Tirana for customers all over the world, so most of those interactions normally happen through a screen. Having customers, potential users, other founders, students, and people from the local tech community all around the same booth was a welcome change.

Future2Tech may be over, but we're not done just yet.

Next up, we're taking Kalemi, Publer, Linkie, and Kibo to Web Summit in Lisbon this November.
